An awe inspiring story. Being under attack coming out of a Buddhist temple to later find a New Testament Bible and find Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Wow! Who says God can't take a dark and black situation and turn it into perfect light? This women and her life are proof that God can and will.

Yeah the French started the war but the United States financed and backed the French.. But don't let history stand in the way... Right? After the French left the U.S was fully invested and decided to go it alone and as such wanted to continue the war and keep China isolated. Her scars are a TESTIMONY of the curse of mankind's sinfulness - this does NOT need to be "healed" to do so gives opportunity to reject the Truth as fiction.
I know of too many people who - upon living her existence would - like you - stay in enmity of God; because of your unwillingness to admit your own sin (you declare your SELF- RIGHTEOUS).
She came to realise that Jesus loves us - JUST AS WE ARE - and will morph us into new created beings with LOVING, HUMBLE, hearts when we ADMIT we are sinners needing Him (and ONLY HIM) to remove our sin through His death on the Cross.
This is WHY she now can forgive & LOVE both the airmen who severely wounded her & the Communists who psychologically abused her - intellectually robbed her - and Politically exploited her.

While it doesn't really matter, the Eisenhower administration was the first to send American military advisers to Vietnam. They were labeled as 'advisers only'. However, they in fact carried a full complement of military hardware. I am a Republician who experienced this conflict. I suspect I am much older than most of the previous posters. This was not a Democrate or Republician war. This was a war of the military in the truest sense of the word. I have prayed for 40+ years our country has at least learned from this horrible war, but we have not. Lost many friends then and in recent years. So sad.
